Everybody in this metro knows about the hail. The good news is that this is close to the easiest city in America for a mobile van to work in. Edmond, Deer Creek, Quail Creek, Moore and Yukon are driveway country — deep, flat concrete with room for a van and a truck at once. That is exactly the point. Oklahoma City's storm drains run to the North Canadian and the Oklahoma River, to Deer Creek and Bluff Creek, and into Lake Hefner and Lake Overholser, which supply drinking water. The van does not put anything into that system: it carries its own water in, reclaims every drop off the vehicle, and disposes to sanitary sewer.
It affects the quality of the result more than the feasibility. A twenty mile an hour south wind is a normal OKC afternoon, and it will carry red silt onto a wet panel while you are working on it. The practical answer is to work on the sheltered side of the house, in a garage bay if you have one, or in the lee of the building at an office lot. It is worth mentioning your layout at booking.
Because Oklahoma City sun is relentless and the summer is long. Ultraviolet exposure drives the plasticiser out of the dash top, the door cards and any uncoated black plastic, and once it has gone the surface goes chalky and then splits. It is far more common on vehicles that live outside here than in wetter, cloudier states. Interior protection is preventative only — a split dash does not come back.
